What others in Summit Grove think about our service:

"I needed a needed a new solution for my business. Our DSL line just kept going down and my 15 employees would just stand around waiting for it to come back up. The lack of stability was choking my business, so I decided to go on the hunt for a T1. When I started, I didn't know which carrier was best, or what a competitive price was. Heck, I didn't even know if I could get T1 internet service here in Summit Grove. Luckily, Google directed me to this page and I was able to make contact with a knowledgeable and experienced broadband consultant that narrowed the field down to XO and AT&T. Now I am the proud owner of a new XO data T1 line, which is stable, reliable, and not much more than I was paying for my old DSL line."

The Evolution of Integrated T1 Service
Thursday May 28, 2009, 11:02 pm ET

DRAPER, Utah, May. 28 /Patrick Oborn/ -- The way business connect to the digital universe is changing. More and more enterprises are discovering the new broadband options made available to them through a series of cost cutting measures by telecommunication providers. With the recent rush to consolidate, more and more features are being crammed into the current service offerings, which continue to fall in price bringing products like integrated T1 service into the price range of the vast majority of small to medium-size businesses.

Prior to the advent of the "all digital" integrated T-1 in 2005, customers only had one choice when it came to dedicated service: analog trunks (24 line bundles). Not only where analog trunks expensive - the average cost ranging from $800 to $1500 per month depending on the user's geographic proximity to the LECs point of presence - they could not re-allocate unused voice channels to carry data. Digital trunks, on the other hand, can reclaim voice lines not in use and put them to work carrying high-speed data packets. That means users enjoy the full 1.5 Mbps of broadband when they are not on the phone.

The same basic economic model described in the book "Blue Ocean Strategies" is now being applied to telecommunication services being offered to small businesses across the country: more value for less money. According to many industry watch dogs, hundreds of thousands of business will dump their POTs lines in favor of dynamic integrated T1 service within the next 12 to 24 months, saving money in the process. With the introduction of sub-$475 dynamic integrated T-service, customers are now able to receive up to 1.5 MBPS of high-speed Internet with 24 digital phone lines all on one line, for less than what they pay now for 5 regular phone lines" Stallions continued.

Dynamic integrated T1s are a fairly new phenomenon. Unlike their analog counterparts that can never deviate from their initial set up configurations, dynamic T1s are able to convert voice phone calls into data packets and them prioritize their delivery through an all-digital trunk. The ability to break everything down into the lowest common denominator (digital) allows the system to change on-the-fly to reclaim phone lines for high speed Internet the second the phone call is terminated. An integrated T1 essentially provides the end user the same service as one data T1 line and one voice T1 line, for half the cost.

Once a forgotten segment of the business telecommunication landscape, small to medium size businesses are finally being serviced with products (like the dynamic integrated T1 line) at prices they can afford. Gone are the days when the Bells can shove TDM services down the collective throats of SMB's at prices that resemble a mortgage rather than a telephone service. Expect innovation to continue on its upward spiral as the CLECs continue to expand their footprints as well as their customer bases. Barring any funny stuff from the FCC, the CLECs will be here to stay. Sorry Ma Bell.
